Action Needed by July 1, 2026 โ Your voice is essential for slowing speeding traffic and protecting our families.
Belaire Circle is experiencing increasingly heavy traffic, with many drivers speeding or using our street as a cutโthrough. This isnโt just inconvenientโit puts our children, families, and neighbors at risk.
On February 1, 2026, another speedingโrelated incident occurred, resulting in significant damage to a neighborโs mailbox. The impact was strong enough to show the driver was traveling far above a safe speed for a residential street. Weโre grateful no one was walking or playing outside at the time.

The Good News
Belaire Circle has already been approved for traffic calming consideration. After a public meeting with the City Traffic Engineer, speed tables were identified as the most effective solution for reducing dangerous driving on our street.
The Solution: Speed Tables
Speed tables are raised, elongated sections of pavement that encourage drivers to slow down. Theyโre designed so emergency vehicles can pass safely while still reducing speeding in residential areas.
- Studies show typical speed reductions of 10โ15 mph
- Accidents can be reduced by up to 40%
